June 2022

What a joyful time to be a part of Christ Church!  With great gladness did we welcome the news that the Rev. Seth Donald will become our new rector.  We look forward to a celebratory welcome in mid August.  

CEEP has been a success again this year, with another crop of eager young campers learning and growing together on our campus, thanks to the hard work and enthusiasm of our dedicated volunteers.  

Summer breakfasts are back, and what feasts we are having!  If you haven’t joined us yet in Holzhalb Hall between the 8:00 and 10:00 Sunday services, plan to do so.  Breakfasts will continue through August, with various church ministries volunteering to host each meal.  

What a weekend of music we had June 9-12, starting with Irish music on Thursday, ending with a celebration of 70s music on Sunday, and a fabulous variety of exceptional musicians for Jazz in June in-between. Thanks to the many whose considerable efforts made these happen!  

And one more reason for joy – our Buildings and Grounds committee informs us that, according to experts they’ve consulted, there is no need to paint nor seal the church’s brick exterior after all.  Hallelujah! 

With hurricane season soon upon us, the emergency preparedness team has been looking into improved means of emergency communication.  Be watching for a call for updating your contact information, and for a new emergency communications page on our website.
