How to Feed My Starving Children

Christ Episcopal Church is teaming up with Christ Episcopal School and Christwood Retirement Community on Saturday, Sept. 20, to host an incredible event called Christ Feeds in The Reily gym, where we will pack more than 100,000 meals for starving children in lesser developed countries. The event is organized through Feed My Starving Children (fmsc.org).

Every year millions of children die from preventable causes connected to malnutrition and, as a Christian nonprofit, FMSC provides nutritious meals to children, giving them an opportunity to grow, thrive, and develop to their full potential. FMSC works with food distribution partners that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering them to move from relief to development.

We need approximately 500 volunteers on September 20 to help us reach our goal of packing more than 100,000 meals; you can volunteer as an individual or as a family (anyone over the age of 5 can volunteer). Each volunteer shift is two hours, and FMSC staff will train you on how to pack the meals. Each volunteer will then be assigned a station in The Reily where you will work side by side with other volunteers.
