Building Sacred Spaces to Gather on the Green

THE PLAN: To build two outdoor gathering places like open arms on two sides of the church
THE FUNDS: To sell bricks with engraved plaques for $250 each, 200 minimum target, 320 to complete
PHASE I: A large open courtyard framed with a low brick wall/benches at the front of the church, designed to make the church visible from the street, with a wide walkway from the street and simple landscaping. TOTAL: $20,000
PHASE II: An 800 sq. ft covered space, between the church and chapel, protected from the elements; designed to look like a cloister with a single slope roof supported by brick and wooden columns. Widened walkways and drop off from the road between the chapel and church. TOTAL: $60,000+
THE BRICKS COULD BE DEDICATED IN:
– Memory of, and Honoring Loved Ones
– Celebration of Life, Baptism, Marriage, and Confirmation
– Thanksgiving for Family, Friends, Unsung Heroes, and (of course) pets
– Recognition of Church Ministries (e.g., Flower Guild, Choir, or Youth)
Each plaque has a maximum of 3 lines of text with up to 18 characters per line including spaces between words. Use upper and lower case letters as you wish the text to appear. For example:
