Christ Church will continue our partnership with the Covington Food Bank.  Please bring your donations into the church and Fill the Pew – Share the Harvest! The pew against the wall on the lectern side is reserved for your donations on a weekly basis.  Check the bulletin; we are targeting certain food items as the Food Bank notifies us of particular needs.  It may be Salmon Sunday or Toiletries Tuesday; we will let you know.

Christ Church Enrichment Program (CEEP ) was a rousing success last year thanks in large part to the many volunteers who gave of their hearts and purses! Under the stellar leadership of Peggy Castle and Cyndi Hargrove over 60 children were touched this summer with educational and inspirational enrichment. We were treated to a visit one Sunday from CEEP graduate Sierra Crump now living in Baton Rouge. She survived the flood and her family is safe.

Faithbuild for Habitat for Humanity continues at various times during the year. The next one will be on the Saturdays during Lent

Episcopal Relief and Development continues to do amazing work with both short-term disaster relief as we have seen with the past floods and with long term sustainable development. We will continue to support their efforts as we are able.

The Diocese of Cuba is our newest international ministry opportunity. As you may know a small group of us went to Cuba in July for an exploratory trip to investigate the need for and ability to develop a partnership with the diocese through Bishop Griselda who was here last year. Based on what we have learned, we have an exciting opportunity to help them fulfill a longtime goal of building a camp and conference center outside of Santa Clara as well as be a pilgrimage site for us. Look for more to come as plans unfold.
