Christ Church supports the Covington Food Bank year round with baskets for food donation located in the narthex of the church as well as in the entrance to the parish hall. We also have certain dates for food drives when we learn that the Food Bank is especially low.

With very strict eligibility requirements 2,300 households in St. Tammany, Washington and Tangipahoa were served by the food bank. More than half of those households were in St. Tammany. 35% of all Food Bank participants were children and 11% were seniors. Staple food products needed include: Canned fruit, corn, peas, green beans, dry beans, rice, rice mix, oatmeal, cereal, pasta, Jiffy mix, soup, macaroni & cheese, dry beans, ravioli, peanut butter, tuna, tomato sauce.

If you prefer to donate by check, please make payable to Christ Church with Food Bank indicated on the memo line.

Another way to support the Food Bank is by donating to the All Saints Thrift Store.

The All Saints Thrift Store is owned by and located across the street from The Food Bank of Covington. All profits from The All Saints Thrift Store go directly to purchase food for the hungry in our area.

It is in need of gently used Furniture, Appliances, and Household Items. Please pass the word! Look around your home, in your attic or in your garage to see if you have any of the above items available for donation. If you cannot deliver a large item, contact The All Saints Thrift Sore at 985-892-5282 to see if they can pick it up.
