The holidays are over and all the needy folks we fed from Thanksgiving thru Christmas are again hungry.

In 2022, the Northshore Food Bank served 15,660 individuals distributing 1.2 million pounds of food. Through their Neighborhood Cupboard program, approximately 15% is delivered to qualified families who are not able to visit the Covington facility.  Being sensitive to diverse needs, the Food Bank also has a T2 Box for those with Type 2 diabetes.

The North Shore Food Bank is one of Christ Churches Mission Commission Outreach Ministries and several of our members are Food Bank volunteers.

The most needed items include low sodium and low sugar canned soups, veggies, tomato sauce, fruit, canned meats & fish, and whole grains.  A list is below and more information can be found on their web site: www.northshorefoodbank.org. Donations can be brought to the church office from 9am-2pm M-F or on Sundays. We will have them delivered to the food bank. Monetary donations are very helpful, enabling them to buy things in bulk.

Church members are encouraged to support this needed community effort.

He who is generous will be blessed, for he gives some of his food to the poor. Proverbs 22:9
